Denise Jauregui has a Master's Degree in Social Work with a focus on Behavioral Health with Adults and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in mental health services and training. Denise has experience providing individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and mental health trainings. Denise has worked with different communities and populations including refugees, immigrants, victims of domestic violence, people struggling with substance use disorders, those involved in the juvenile and adult justice systems, teens, adults, and a wide client population who are Latina/o/e and speak Spanish. At this time, Denise is licensed to provide mental health therapy services to individuals residing in the state of Arizona only. Denise uses a strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach when working with clients. This means that the therapeutic process happens in a collaborative atmosphere, where you/the client are the expert in your own therapy process, and your strengths are used to assist you in developing resilience to overcome your unique challenges with strong consideration to any trauma or experiences that impact who you are and those unique factors that make you you. Denise has been trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Whether this is your first experience in therapy or not, Denise will encourage you to be open about your therapy experience to discuss what is working and what may not, in order to tailor the therapy to what works for you.
